Michael Flynn hoping for deal at Priestfield
Former Gills captain Michael Flynn has been with his old side in France over the weekend in a bid to earn a deal at the club.
Flynn, who played for the club between 2005 and 2007, is a free agent after leaving Bradford at the end of last season.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who made 106 appearances and scored 21 goals in his time with the Gills, travelled to Le Touquet with Martin Allen and the squad last Thursday for their training camp.
He captained the side during his last year at Priestfield before joining Blackpool at the end of the 2006/07 season.
